Baby Valenzuela...

Ulisses and I are excited to announce that we are 10 weeks pregnant! We went for our first doctor visit last Thursday and the doctor said all is well. We heard the heart beat and had the first sonogram. The baby, don't know if it's a boy or a girl yet, is due on or around August 20th. We are overcome with joy with this news and are thankful to God for His many blessings. Above are the pictures from the first sonogram.

This past Tuesday was my 31st birthday...and it was a great day. Since it fell in the middle of the work week, I actually got to celebrate several days...which was nice! On my actual day, Ulisses had to leave almost right after I got home from school because he's working nights. Before he left he gave me two gifts one was a foot bath/massage and some new perfume I'd been wanting. So sweet! After he left Mom, Papa, Tito and Dri took me out for pizza at my favorite local pizza place. The following day, my friends at school gave me a surprise party...and Lisset and Benjamin's family invited us over for dinner to celebrate my birthday...and yesterday Fernando, Sharon and the boys came down for yet another celebration (Papa had to work)...we ate at Osaka's and it was great! It's a Japanese place that cooks your meal in front of you...the boys were a little scared of the fire... but, we all enjoyed a great meal...then we went back to my parents for cake and ice cream. We had a nice time...

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year everybody....hope everyone had a great holiday season. Ulisses and I had a change of plans and spent the holidays in Odessa instead of going skiing. We had Christmas Eve dinner with Mom, Papa, Tito and Dri...Ferny, Sharon and the boys were in Houston. Then we spent Christmas Day with Benjamin and Lisset's family. When Ferny and Sharon got back from Houston we went to Gail for another Christmas celebration...Tito and Ulisses weren't able to be there though. New Year's eve was spent playing Scrabble here at the house...it was a nice and calm evening...and now my two week vacation has come to a close...but I'm rested and ready to begin what is going to be a great year.
